censorship schmensorship

so i find myself here again for like the forth time in a row, it's getting to be like the old days where i would write day after day about the shit i was dealing with or didnt want to deal with.
you know all that teen angst bullshit, but now for me (turning 21, ash you think your old!!) it's no longer teen angst, it's just young adult bitching, weird how that changes in a year
so what im here to bitch about today is *drum roll please* censorship....
first of all those who might have been offended by my last entry (seen here)
because i wrote the word fuck ten times: fuck off and dont read my diary if it offends you, im sick of all this censorship bullshit!
watching entertainment tonight and having them go on about janet jackson tit for half an hour, i ever got bored with david letterman last night, because for 15 minutes that was all he asked about, and now it's all this 5 second/minute delay shit, for fucks sake get over it, we live in an age where PORN is accessable over a few keyboard stokes...
what pisses me off the most is the fact all the radio stations are now getting in on it, and making it worse!
radio stations have had the power to edit music, and yeah in some senses rightfully so.....people like eminem, even though i am a fan of his music, i know that some lyrics of his are not appropriate for airplay, same with marylin manson, im also a fan but understand when it should be played and when it shouldn't but getting all huffy over the little things....for instance, in malaysia there was a radio edited version of the merrideth brookes song "bitch" where that word in particular was no longer in the song, thus meaning the radio dj (or announcer) couldn't even let you know the name of the song
now who honestly finds that word offensive in that sense, ie: when you arent being referred to as one, there is in no way that this song is calling listeners a bitch, so you couldnt be offended
things like that are so stupid, the word bastard and things like that are no longer offensive, much music plays clips with the word shit in it all the time, and now it seems radio stations wanna get huffy because alanis morissette's new single has the lyrics
"i can be an
asshole of the grandest kind" - so guess what? in order to not offend anyone the lyrics for the radio version are
"i can be a
nightmare of the grandest kind",
changing the meaning of the line, people can be assholes, or people can be nightmares, two different things....and its beyond stupid now
the world is becoming way to fucking sensitive!
for those of you who might have their speakers on while visiting my site may realise that alanis morissette's "everything" plays from my site, and it is the album version that mentions the word asshole!! you wanna complain because you find it offensive, my guestbook, tagboard and notes links is plain as day on the bottom of this page, feel free to tell me your whoa's about it
you dont see me complaining because ashes wrote the word cunt in her entries, because she is free to write what she wants - respect that!
