the price is wrong..................bitch!

so, im sitting in bed watching tv, and i flick to CBS....

and the price is right is on....but it's ALL wrong!!!

totally wrong, now yes i was happy to see bob barker, because he is the price king, but the differences - holy shit!!!!

the price is right [american style] goes for an hour, and the showcase at the end of the show, wow - it is hella-different...

for the australians, we all know that larry emdur is the price king...

and that the show only goes for half an hour, the show case is two people (the highest totaling price winners, out of the three people who come up on stage) and battle it out for a big prize showcase, with about eight or nine prizes, each player has to guess the correct price, once king larry announces that it is between a certian amount...

eg: "tonight's showcase is valued between, $32,100 and $32,200, shane - it's your bid"

then shane and.......nacy, keep guessing while king larry, lets them know weather it's higher or lower then what they have guessed!

but bob, good ol' bob barker does crap all (and no im not making fun of him, but im sure larry would do such a great job on the american version)

anyways.....

in the first half hour (of the american version), three people play for the big prizes....(and i mean B I G, because a lady played a game called the gold road [or path, i forget] and she won a $55,400 chevy corvette)

then out of those three, they spin a huge wheel with money amounts on it (kinda like wheel o' fortune, but vertical) the object is to spin a higher amount then the person before you, thus getting you into the showcase...

the next half hour is the same thing, until there are two players in the show case, and this is where i got real excited....thinking bob is gonna stand behind the player and start with the "higher/lower" talk, but no!!!

james and michelle, instead....have to guess the amount of the TWO showcases....

michelle, get to chose weather she wants the first or second show case once she has seen what is in the first, (she decided to palm it off to james) and she then saw the second showcase and realised it wasnt too good (ha ha).....

but these showcases only consist of three things......yes three

the two players then guess what they think is the amount of their showcase, with the player who is closest to their showcase garunteed to win it!!!!

and if you guess with-in the $250 below or above the exact price, you win both!!!

enough about the crazy tv...

went and saw love actually last week, it's a great little (lovey dovey) flick, but funny, so i recommend to all that they see it, i think in australia it is out on the 11th (or 10th)

and the cast....lots of greats (yes british) plus some american faces too

quite a few laughs aswell
